Laugh Out Loud

Dear IT Support,

Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed a slow down in the overall performance, particularly in the flower, gifts and jewellery applications that had operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0. In addition, Husband 1.0 un-installed many other valuable programs, such as Romance 9.5 and Personal Attention 6.5, but installed undesirable programs such as Formula One 5.0, NBA 3.0 and World Cup 2.0. And now Conversation 8.0 no longer runs and House Cleaning 2.6 simply crashes the system. I've tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these problems, but to no avail.

What should I do?

Signed,
Desperate Housewife

Reply:

Dear Desperate Housewife,
First keep in mind: Boyfriend 5.0 is an entertainment package, while Husband 1.0 is an operating system. Try entering the command C:\ I THOUGHT YOU LOVED ME and download Tears 6.2 to install Guilt 3.0. If all works as designed, Husband 1.0 should then automatically run the applications Jewellery 2.0 and Flowers 3.5.

But remember, overuse can cause Husband 1.0 to default to Grumpy Silence 2.5, Happy Hour 7.0 or Late Night Teh Tarik 6.1. Late Night 6.1 is a very bad program that will create SnoringLoudly.wav files. Whatever you do, DO NOT install Mother-in-Law 1.0 or reinstall another Boyfriend program. These are not supported applications and will crash Husband 1.0.

In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have a limited memory and cannot learn new applications quickly. You might consider additional software to improve memory and performance. I personally recommend Hot Tasty Food 3.0 and Tongkat Ali 6.9.

Good Luck,
IT Support

*LOL. But it sooooooo true.

Cara Pemakaian Inai Intan Norazam

Straight to the point, masa tengah kemas-kemas barang,I ada jumpa inai mekah yang mak I beli masa umrah dulu kat dalam chest drawer.

I takdelah banyak sangat duit nak hire sesiapa untuk pakaikan I inai, heheh. Den x mampu! Lagipon I suka inai yang simple aje, takde kerawang-kerawang bagai. Tapi tak tahu lah nanti kalau emak request nak inai yang meriah, I akan buat la jugak kot (maybe).

Then I pon try an error la inai tu kat tangan dengan teknik yang I dah fikirkan aritu. Pakai setengah jam je, then terus basuh. Nak pakai pon senang, pakai sendiri pon boleh. Tapi nanti of course la nak orang yang pakaikan, ye tak? Sangat suka! Warna pon sama pada kulit dan kuku. Jadi insyaAllah nanti I akan guna method yang sama untuk my wedding nanti. Weeeee!

Nanti boleh la I share dekat sini method ‘pemakaian inai cara intan norazam’. Hahaha.

Packaging things. Anyone wanna help me?

Lagipon masa masuk dulu rumah ni bersih bermop wangi. Takkan nak tinggalkan dengan sampah merata-rata. huihhhh sangatlah tak baik! Attitude tu kena buang jauh-jauh (dengar ye adik-adik)

I dah mula packing barang like a week ago, tak siap2 lagi. Now stage terakhir; melakukan kerja mengemas, menyapu dan mengemop rumah sejak pagi. Dapur masih belum selesai, half done. Hope housemate akan sambung kerja mengemas. Masa ni la nak bekerjasama kan, huhuhuh.

Selepas kepenatan, malam ni nak hadiahkan diri sendiri tiket NurKasih TM, harap-harap bestlah!

*pssttttt: semalam i ade dinner, nanti i post new entry ya!

Architect nowadays?

Sangat setuju!

Money, job & sex appeal: Top 10 misconceptions about architects
.
1.         Architects are rich.
Very irritating misconception. Hell, we are not. (I wish!)
We are so far from being wealthyWe are light-years (10 trillion km) away from the lawyers or doctors which we are often compared with. Architecture is not a “big business”, rather a small-scale professional service. Some architectural practices owners (1%) are doing relatively fine. As for the regular architects/drafters/technicians/renderers (99%) – those are actually low-income people. Salaries in the architectural industry are way below the average. It’s a sad fact not an emotional claim.

2.         Architects build.
We don’t build projects. We design them. Think about us as of composer who invents music. And then orchestra plays it under conductor’s “management”. Developers build. If we would build we would be rich.

3.         Architects are responsible for the structural safety.
No. If building collapses it’s rarely architect’s fault, just so you know… Architects’ role is to integrate building structure developed by the structural engineer into the general design scheme. Structural engineering is a professional field, essentially a science, responsible for the structural safety of the buildings. Continuing the analogy: composer is hardly responsible for the performance of his symphony, conductor and musicians are…

4.         Architects are creative.
We kind of suppose to be. But in fact most of our time is dedicated to the resolution of the serious issues: financial (to get the money from the client), bureaucratic (to get the project approved by the authorities), technical (coordination of the engineering works and working drawings), administrative (monitoring constructions and fighting with the greedy builders), political (convincing clients not to pick the ugliest option because it’s cheap). We don’t have time for free imagination, arty design and other creative nonsense.

5.         Architects are shy.
The most successful architects, we call them starchitects are aggressive as football players and loud as pop-stars. They try to attract media attention using all means, they go to fashion shows and they prefer to see themselves (not their projects) on the cover of the trendy magazines. (Starchitects are rich, by the way… They are not exactly architects though…)

6.         Architects travel a lot.
Yes, at least to me. Between the local city hall reception and the technical consultants office, usually located in some depressing industrial zone. We also visit messy construction sites on the other end of the city. Most of the American architects have been in Europe (Rome, Athens, Barcelona – speaking of architecture) much less than an average programmer. And it’s not only because of our low income. As I said we have more important issues on hand than this cultural BS.

7.         Architects are naïve.
We cannot afford such luxury trying to survive between arrogant clients rebuffing our vision, corrupted bureaucrats rejecting our drawings and cheap builders refusing to build in line with our designs. We have to be shrewd businessmen. We just have to~

8.         Architects draw, paint and do models.
Forget about it. Since the CAD (Computer Aided Design) systems were introduced in the 80s we have completely lost those unique gifts making us so outstanding, so different. We have lost things defining the very core of our field. So today we are just one of those “computerized industries”.

9.         Architects wear funky glasses
Well… if you think that every Spaniard is an El-matador (a bull-fighter) or every Frenchman has 2 mistresses … then yeah… we all have funky glasses a-la Elton John. (i'm not, but i'm absolutely agreed)

10.      Architects are cool and sexy.
The greatest misconception of all: at the very least we are super-cool & uber-sexy. I’m not kidding! (male professionals ya! not me)

I sangat setuju fakta no 2, 4, 6 dan 8. Yang lain tu entah, ikot individu.
I am just a normal bride to be. (ada kaitan?)

I’m moving out!

 (Ceh ayat sungguh drama!).

Yeay.. not so called ‘rumah-baru-siap’ but at least it's new home for me and my future partner, insyaAllah. I am so happy and excited, tak sabar nak hias rumah cantik-cantik. For now on, I akan duduk seorang dulu untuk tempoh 4 bulan sebelum, dan akan ditemani anak I yang berdua tu; Abu and Tom. Kehkehkeh.

Boleh la I organize rumah sikit-sikit, so bila ‘orang baru’ masuk nanti, taklah kelamkabut kan?

I bought few paintings at China, and black chandelier (few months ago), ohhhh tak sabar nak hang up everything. Yeay! I need 3 tons lorry to lug all my belongings, oh banyak betul kotak-kotak.

Till then, bye! Love you all~

Trypanophobia

Hai,

Ada sesiapa yang takut jarum tak? huhuh. I am the one yang sangat takut jarum. Boo-ing me. BOOooOOo! Semalam my fiancé bagitau dia dah buat ujian HIV,yeayyyy but  then he asked me to do so. Erkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk!

Agaknya lah. Yang I tahu masa form 3, I lah orang yang paling menggelabah bila kena suntik kat sekolah, rasa nak lari balik rumah je. End up terpaksa pejam mata redha hujung bahu pada doctor. Itupon sebab taknak kena ejek dengan kawan-kawan. Yang peliknya, I can tengok ER/medic tv orang operation sana-sini, or video orang accident ngeri berdarah-darah satu badan, tapi I can’t help myself if tertengok drama yang ada suntik menyuntik ni. Terus rasa sengal-sengal semua anggota. Oh beremang bulu roma. I rasa macam jarum tu like torture. Yes Sangat TORTURE mentally.

Pernah sekali tu, I demam sangat teruk and doctor suspected its dengue. Then he asked me to make blood anylisis untuk make sure demam I ni biasa aje or dengue. Then masa nak queue ambil darah tu, I rasa seram semacam dan end up I lari balik. Tak jadi jumpa doctor or ambil ubat. Nasib baik I recover after a few days. Gila kan i! Hu hu. Kalau lah betul-betul dengue cemana?

It seems funny to others, but not me. I tahu untuk HIV test ambil darah kat hujung jari je, tapi still jarum kan. (you may laugh at me now). yeahh whatever reason I gave, i admit  tetap kena buat HIV test tu jugak walaupon I cuba elak 1000x. Kalau tak tak kawen lah i. Ini baru dugaan nak kawen, kalau pregnant nanti cemana la pulak, memang kena ambil darah each time jumpa doctor kan? oh scarrrryyyyyyy!

I can see dentist.
I love height.
I love extreme games.
I can do bungee jumping.

but.. but but I hate injection.

FROM GOOGLE:
Trypanophobia, or fear of needles, affects an estimated 10% of Americans. Yet it was only recognized as a specific phobia by the DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual) in the 1994 4th Edition. The disorder is generally referred to simply as “needle phobia” by the general population, but is specific to medical needles.

Symptoms of Trypanophobia
If you have trypanophobia, you may dread receiving medical care, particularly injections. When you are required to undergo a medical procedure, you are likely to experience high blood pressure and an elevated heart rate in the hours and days leading up to your procedure. However, at the time of the event, your blood pressure may rapidly drop. You may even faint.

Dangers of Trypanophobia
Unlike most phobias, which generally cause a fast pulse and feeling of panic, trypanophobia frequently causes blood pressure and heart rate to drop.
Another danger of needle phobia is that it can cause sufferers to avoid visiting the doctor or dentist. Although the actual phobia is of needles, it can lead to a more generalized fear of medical and dental healthcare providers. In extreme cases, the sufferer may refuse to receive even routine checkups.

Causes of Trypanophobia
Scientists are still unsure precisely what causes needle phobia. It seems to be inherited, as an estimated 80% of those who have the condition have a close relative that suffers from the same phobia. However, it is possible that the fear is learned rather than biologically inherited.
Some evolutionary psychologists believe that the fear may be rooted in an ancient survival technique. Puncture wounds could be deadly, particularly in the days before modern antibiotics. It is possible that a fear of puncturing the skin was an evolutionary adaptation.

* I hope problem i taklah seteruk ini. Amin! Hahahahhahahahaha. Nanti kalau i dah buat HIV test tu dengan bangganya i akan canangkan ke seluruh pelusuk dunia!

Mum, it's mine!

I don’t know why are they too obsessed at ‘this’ recently. Kalau boleh nak tidur-berak-makan semua dalam besen. Lepas mak anak, lepas anak mak. Besen kosong anak masuk dulu, mak tidur luar la nampaknya. Kalau mak dah dapat, tak kasi can kat anak lah, nasib!

Quick Update: 11 May 2011

Hai sayang,

Luckily I got my solemnization attire four months before the wedding. Enough time for me to do some DIY to the dress, and hopefully it may enhance the purity of the solemnization itself. (ada kaitan ke?). Some people call it cream color, but I’m preferred to call it pearl color instead; and it’s just a simple modern kurung with some detailing on top.

Agak-agak, suit tak dengan veil yang I dah DIY dulu? Refer this entry.

Yes! This is my five confessions.

  1. I am a sleeping beauty; soooo not a morning person and I hope this may charge after marriage.
  2. I am talkative and speak loud.
  3. I have 15.5inch shoulder, bidangnya oi oi oi.
  4. I love water, but too scare to swim.
  5. I can’t sing and not into music.

It's getting hotter

Yes this is human fault; global warming effect. Huhu, panasnya!

12 Perkara Nak Dilakukan/Diubah Sebelum Berkahwin

Pagi-pagi baca blog Hanis Zalikha terasa nak buat questionnaire yang sama. Hahaha.

  1. A GOOD DAUGHTER: Nak jadi anak yang baik, taknak mintak duit dengan parents langsung, cuba untuk menggunakan duit gaji sebaik mungkin. Malahan nak meng’hulur’ setiap kali pulang ke kampung. Kalau I tak mampu nak hulur pon, I akan paksa diri untuk balik ke kampung setiap 2 minggu sekali.
  2. FAMILY TREAT: Nak bawak parents bercuti, semuanya ditanggung oleh si anak, iaitu i. Dah berjaya laksanakan somewhere in October 2009.
  3. HOLIDAY ALONE: Actually takde la seorang, just I travel alone dari Malaysia-Seoul, Korea in March 2011. Sampai sana dah ada kawan yang tunggu. And proudly to say, I am using my own money for this trip~ Totally worth it after all the hard works.
  4. TRAVEL TO NORTH-SOUTH ALONE: Yang ni tak berjaya lagi, just I dah berjaya drive alone dari Kuantan-Penang. It’s 571km yaw… and it’s a record. Ada berani? Rasanya tak berjaya kot nak buat rekod ni sebelum kawen, takot la nanti FFIL marah. Independent sgt la bakal menantu diorang ni~
  5. BUY A CAR AND A HOUSE. Yes, I have mine (a car) and a house in Jun, insyaAllah!
  6. SOLAT ON TIME & MENGAJI: cuba nak amalkan solat on time dan mengaji setiap hari walaupon kadang-kadang liat sangat, degil la kamu ni intan!
  7. ADOPT A PET. Yes, I love to have Abu and Tom in my life.
  8. SAVING MONEY: Nasib baik ada auto-debit, kalau tak entah mampu ke tak I nak saving each month. heheh. Maklumlah banyak sangat benda nak buat and nak beli kan. heheh.
  9. DIY-ing MY WEDDING: Nasib baik terkenan tangan kreatif dari mak, so mostly about my wedding I nak buat sendiri. (doakan I mampu) Hehehe. Termasuklah pelamin, beadings baju and veils, invitation cards, and doorgifts.
  10. ISLAND VACAY: Yang ni insyaAllah I nak ajak kawan-kawan I nanti!
  11. JANGAN SOMBONG DAN SANGAT BERKIRA: kalau boleh lepas ni taknak sombong (walaupon muka I memang muka jenis sombong masam mencuka) dan jangan berkira, berkongsi la rezeki yang ada dengan family dan kawan-kawan, tapi yes, ‘EVERYTHING HAVE LIMITS’ yawww.
  12. JANGAN BERMUKA-MUKA: lepas ni I taknak dah bermuka-muka, means berpura-pura baik dengan seseorang padahal I menyampah giler dengan dia. Hipokrit oi oi oi! Sebab nak terlalu menjaga hati, terpaksa berlakon. Huh it is not so me!
