Trypanophobia

Hai,

Ada sesiapa yang takut jarum tak? huhuh. I am the one yang sangat takut jarum. Boo-ing me. BOOooOOo! Semalam my fiancé bagitau dia dah buat ujian HIV,yeayyyy but  then he asked me to do so. Erkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk!

I tak tahu lah sejak bila I sangat takut jarum, sejak kecik kot. Agaknya lah. Yang I tahu masa form 3, I lah orang yang paling menggelabah bila kena suntik kat sekolah, rasa nak lari balik rumah je. End up terpaksa pejam mata redha hujung bahu pada doctor. Itupon sebab taknak kena ejek dengan kawan-kawan. Yang peliknya, I can tengok ER/medic tv orang operation sana-sini, or video orang accident ngeri berdarah-darah satu badan, tapi I can’t help myself if tertengok drama yang ada suntik menyuntik ni. Terus rasa sengal-sengal semua anggota. Oh beremang bulu roma. I rasa macam jarum tu like torture. Yes Sangat TORTURE mentally.

Pernah sekali tu, I demam sangat teruk and doctor suspected its dengue. Then he asked me to make blood anylisis untuk make sure demam I ni biasa aje or dengue. Then masa nak queue ambil darah tu, I rasa seram semacam dan end up I lari balik. Tak jadi jumpa doctor or ambil ubat. Nasib baik I recover after a few days. Gila kan i! Hu hu. Kalau lah betul-betul dengue cemana?

It seems funny to others, but not me. I tahu untuk HIV test ambil darah kat hujung jari je, tapi still jarum kan. (you may laugh at me now). yeahh whatever reason I gave, i admit  tetap kena buat HIV test tu jugak walaupon I cuba elak 1000x. Kalau tak tak kawen lah i. Ini baru dugaan nak kawen, kalau pregnant nanti cemana la pulak, memang kena ambil darah each time jumpa doctor kan? oh scarrrryyyyyyy!

Dangers of Trypanophobia

Unlike most phobias, which generally cause a fast pulse and feeling of panic, trypanophobia frequently causes blood pressure and heart rate to drop.

Another danger of needle phobia is that it can cause sufferers to avoid visiting the doctor or dentist. Although the actual phobia is of needles, it can lead to a more generalized fear of medical and dental healthcare providers. In extreme cases, the sufferer may refuse to receive even routine checkups.

Causes of Trypanophobia

Scientists are still unsure precisely what causes needle phobia. It seems to be inherited, as an estimated 80% of those who have the condition have a close relative that suffers from the same phobia. However, it is possible that the fear is learned rather than biologically inherited.

Some evolutionary psychologists believe that the fear may be rooted in an ancient survival technique. Puncture wounds could be deadly, particularly in the days before modern antibiotics. It is possible that a fear of puncturing the skin was an evolutionary adaptation.

Mum, it's mine!

I don’t know why are they too obsessed at ‘this’ recently. Kalau boleh nak tidur-berak-makan semua dalam besen. Lepas mak anak, lepas anak mak. Besen kosong anak masuk dulu, mak tidur luar la nampaknya. Kalau mak dah dapat, tak kasi can kat anak lah, nasib!

Fabric Flower My Version

This is my version, nak buat utk hairband anak-anak saudara nanti. Agak comot hu hu hu tapi nanti akan cuba lagi, insyaAllah.

Quick Update: 11 May 2011

Hai sayang,

Luckily I got my solemnization attire four months before the wedding. Enough time for me to do some DIY to the dress, and hopefully it may enhance the purity of the solemnization itself. (ada kaitan ke?). Some people call it cream color, but I’m preferred to call it pearl color instead; and it’s just a simple modern kurung with some detailing on top. 

Agak-agak, suit tak dengan veil yang I dah DIY dulu? Refer this entry.

1. I am a sleeping beauty; soooo not a morning person and I hope this may charge after marriage.
2. I am talkative and speak loud.
